BYD’s Seal 06 GT, a pure electric hatchback under the Ocean series, has officially been launched in the market. The car is available in four trims with prices ranging from 136,800 to 186,800 yuan (19,300 – 26,300 USD). Customers can choose between Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) options, with cruising ranges of 505 km, 550 km, and 605 km depending on the trim level.

The Seal 06 GT is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, with dimensions of 4630/1880/1490 mm (length, width, height) and a wheelbase of 2820 mm. The car features a sleek design with a suspended roof and hidden door handles. The RWD version comes with 225/50 R18 tires while the AWD model sports 235/45 R19 tires and red brake calipers.

The front of the car showcases a low-lying closed grille design with a narrow headlight group. The lower section features a honeycomb-shaped grille for active heat management. Moving to the rear, the taillights have a wavy design that complements the overall aesthetic of the Ocean series. Customers can choose from four exterior colors: black, gray, green, and pink, with an additional charge for the pink paint.

In terms of safety, the Seal 06 GT is equipped with BYD’s DiPilot 5 intelligent driving assistance system, which includes features like forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and parking assistance. The car offers both RWD and AWD options, with a top speed of 200 km/h and four driving modes: eco, sport, normal, and snow.

The RWD version is powered by two rear permanent magnet synchronous motors with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. It comes with a choice of two battery pack options, offering cruising ranges of 505 km and 605 km. The AWD model features a front AC asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with a cruising range of 550 km.

The interior is equipped with BYD’s DiLink 100 smart cockpit, a central control screen, a full LCD instrument panel, a W-HUD, and premium sound system options.

Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, OTA updates, ambient lights, an electric tailgate, wireless phone charging, voice control, and seat adjustments. The BYD Seal 06 GT offers a blend of style, performance, and advanced technology for a premium driving experience.
