BYD has recently unveiled more images of its upcoming all-electric sedan, the Qin L EV, as the launch date approaches. The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer shared six new images of the Qin L EV on Weibo, showcasing various exterior details of the mid-sized sedan from different angles.
According to BYD, the Qin L EV is designed as a mid-size car targeting the younger generation in the era of smart driving. Lu Tian, the general manager of sales for BYD’s Dynasty series, also emphasized on Weibo that the model will cater to the preferences of the younger demographic.
The front design of the Qin L EV bears a resemblance to BYD’s flagship electric sedan, the Han EV. Additionally, the rear logo suggests that the model will be equipped with BYD’s God’s Eye C intelligent driving system, which was recently introduced by the company.
BYD introduced its vehicle intelligence strategy on February 10, announcing that all its models will come with smart driving editions. The company’s Smart Driving system, known as God’s Eye, includes different versions such as God’s Eye A for ultra-luxury vehicles, God’s Eye B for premium vehicles, and God’s Eye C for more affordable models.
The Qin L EV is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 110 kW and a top speed of 160 km/h, as per the regulatory filing. The sedan has a length, width, and height of 4,720 mm, 1,880 mm, and 1,495 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.
The Qin family of models, which includes the Qin L DM-i, Qin Plus DM-i, and Qin Plus EV, is one of BYD’s most popular, with 732,252 units sold in 2024, contributing 17.14 percent of BYD’s NEV sales.
