BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) is set to launch the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i on September 15, following its debut at the 2025 Chengdu auto show. The new model features an additional LiDAR sensor on the roof, enhancing its technological capabilities.

The Seal 07 DM-i is equipped with the DiSus-C body control system and God’s Eye B smart driving system, ensuring a safe and efficient driving experience. With dimensions of 4,995 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, the updated model offers a spacious and comfortable interior for passengers.

Under the hood, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i offers two 1.5L engine options with maximum power outputs of 74 kW and 115 kW, as well as two electric motor options with maximum power outputs of 160 kW and 200 kW. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) also provides two CLTC battery ranges: 70 km and 125 km, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in power usage.

Initially launched on August 8, 2024, the Seal 07 DM-i is BYD’s first mid-to-large-size sedan equipped with fifth-generation DM (Dual Mode) technology, delivering improved fuel consumption and performance. The current Seal 07 DM-i lineup includes five variants with prices starting from RMB 139,800 ($19,600) to RMB 195,800.

In August, BYD sold 373,626 new energy vehicles (NEVs), with the Seal family selling 53,992 units and becoming BYD’s second-best-selling model. The success of the Seal 07 DM-i reflects the growing demand for eco-friendly and technologically advanced vehicles in the market.

With the upcoming launch of the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i, BYD continues to lead the way in sustainable transportation solutions, offering innovative and reliable vehicles for consumers. Stay tuned for more updates on the official release of the latest hybrid sedan from BYD.
