Yangwang, a sub-brand of BYD, showcased the impressive capabilities of its upcoming U7 sedan’s body control system in a recent video demonstration. The video displayed how the U7 can be controlled to complete a maze game placed on the roof of the car, thanks to the responsiveness of the DiSus-Z body control system.

The U7, which is set to be a flagship sedan in the ultra-luxury segment, was first introduced by Yangwang at the 2024 Beijing auto show. With no official launch date announced yet, Yangwang began pre-sales of the U7 last November, allowing customers to reserve the model by paying a deposit.

The highlight of the U7 is its DiSus-Z intelligent body control system, a variant of BYD’s DiSus technology lineup. This system enables the sedan to offer exceptional ride comfort, surpassing even that of a maglev train. The U7 is available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants, showcasing its versatility and eco-friendly nature.

With up to 1,300 horsepower under the hood, the U7 boasts impressive performance figures, including a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h. The demonstration of the U7’s body control capabilities further solidifies its position as a technological marvel in the automotive industry.

Yangwang’s showcase of the U7’s capabilities follows a trend among Chinese automakers to highlight their technological innovations. Nio, another prominent Chinese automaker, recently unveiled its executive flagship sedan, the ET9, showcasing its SkyRide chassis system in a similar manner.

Overall, the Yangwang U7 sedan promises to be a game-changer in the luxury sedan segment, combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional performance. Stay tuned for more updates on the official launch date and availability of this groundbreaking vehicle.
