Yangwang, the ultra-luxury sub-brand of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has officially announced the commencement of pre-sales for the U8L Dingshi Edition on July 31. This highly anticipated launch event is scheduled to take place at 2:30 pm Beijing Time on the same day.

The U8L is a full-size executive luxury SUV that comes with a distinctive golden logo crafted from 24K pure gold, adding a touch of opulence to its already impressive design. Unveiled at the 2025 Shanghai auto show on April 23, Yangwang has confirmed that the model will be available for purchase in the second half of this year.

Measuring 5,400 mm in length, 2,049 mm in width, and 1,921 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm, the U8L surpasses the dimensions of the standard U8 SUV currently available. This larger size provides ample space for passengers, making it stand out in its class.

With the longest body dimensions, wheelbase, and second-row space, the U8L sets a new standard for luxury SUVs. The model builds on the success of the U8, Yangwang’s first-ever model launched on September 20, 2023, with a starting price of RMB 1,098,000 ($153,200). Alongside the U8L, Yangwang offers the U9 electric supercar and the U7 sedan under its sub-brand.

Despite a slight decline in sales compared to the previous year, Yangwang sold 205 units in June, indicating a month-on-month increase of 47.48 percent. The brand continues to make a mark in the luxury automotive market with its innovative designs and cutting-edge technology.

With the pre-sales of the U8L Dingshi Edition set to begin on July 31, enthusiasts and luxury car connoisseurs can look forward to experiencing the pinnacle of luxury and performance offered by Yangwang. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated launch event.
