Changan Automobile logs 21.98% YoY jump in Nov. auto sales

Changan Automobile Achieves 21.98% Year-on-Year Increase in November Auto Sales

Chinese automaker Changan Automobile has reported a significant year-on-year jump in monthly sales volume for November 2024. The company sold a total of 277,298 vehicles during the month, marking a 21.98% increase compared to the same period last year.

For the first eleven months of 2024, Changan Automobile’s cumulative sales reached 2,433,109 vehicles, reflecting a 4.07% increase year-on-year. Of these sales, 2,027,596 units were under the company’s wholly-owned brands, with 1,517,801 units being passenger vehicles. Additionally, the company’s wholly-owned brands sold 337,944 vehicles in overseas markets during the same period.

In the realm of new energy vehicles (NEVs), Changan Automobile reported sales of 102,309 units in November, bringing the year-to-date total to 643,290 NEVs sold.

Changan Automobile’s joint ventures also saw notable performance in November. Changan Ford recorded sales of 25,103 vehicles, a 31.78% increase year-over-year. On the other hand, Changan Mazda sold 8,603 vehicles, representing an 8.09% decline compared to the previous year.

Overall, Changan Automobile continues to demonstrate strong sales performance and growth in both domestic and international markets, solidifying its position as a key player in the automotive industry.
