Chinese automaker Changan Automobile reported impressive sales figures for December 2024, with a total of 250,689 vehicles sold, marking a 16.55% increase compared to the previous year. This strong performance contributed to the company’s annual sales volume, which reached 2,683,798 vehicles, representing a 5.12% year-on-year growth.

Of the total vehicles sold in 2024, Changan Automobile’s wholly-owned brands accounted for 2,226,489 units, with 1,668,284 units being passenger vehicles. Additionally, the company’s overseas market saw significant activity, with 536,196 vehicles sold last year.

In the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, Changan Automobile reported robust sales, with 91,325 NEVs sold in December and a total of 734,615 units sold throughout the year. This highlights the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

Changan Automobile’s joint ventures also played a significant role in its overall sales performance. Changan Ford recorded sales of 247,035 vehicles in 2024, marking a 5.97% increase year-on-year. On the other hand, Changan Mazda experienced a slight decline in annual sales, with 88,662 vehicles sold, representing a 14.69% drop compared to the previous year.
