Changan Automobile’s sub-brand Deepal has recently introduced the latest 2026 model year L07 midsize sedan, featuring Huawei’s smart driving system and offering competitive pricing options. The sedan is available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, with prices starting at RMB 145,900 ($20,350).

The updated Deepal L07 comes in four BEV variants with guide prices ranging from RMB 145,900 to RMB 165,900, and two EREV variants starting at RMB 145,900. Customers who purchase any variant of the model before August 31 can enjoy a discount of RMB 10,000.

Measuring 4,875 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, the five-seat sedan offers spacious and comfortable seating for passengers. The BEV variants are equipped with a rear motor delivering a maximum power of 200 kW (272 hp) and a maximum torque of 290 Nm, allowing for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds.

The BEV models feature lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with capacities of 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 550 km or 660 km. On the other hand, the EREV variants come with a 1.5 L engine as a range extender, with a maximum power output of 70 kW and a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

One of the standout features of the Deepal L07 is the inclusion of Huawei’s Qiankun ADS SE smart driving assistance system as standard. This makes the L07 the most cost-effective model to date to come with Huawei software as a standard feature. The Huawei Qiankun smart driving system offers various versions, with ADS SE being the entry-level option.

Deepal’s new energy vehicle (NEV) brand was unveiled in 2022, with the L07 being the latest addition to its lineup, which includes models like the S05 SUV, S07 SUV, SL03 sedan, and G318 SUV. The brand aims to compete with popular electric vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 in the market.

In summary, the Deepal L07 combines advanced technology, competitive pricing, and impressive performance to offer customers a compelling choice in the midsize sedan segment. With its sleek design, spacious interior, and innovative features, the L07 is set to make a mark in the electric vehicle market.
