Audi and SAIC have collaborated to develop the Audi E electric car specifically for the Chinese market. This upcoming electric vehicle was recently spotted during road tests and is set to hit the market in the summer of 2025. Interestingly, the Audi E will not feature the traditional Audi rings logo, making it distinct from other Audi models. Instead, it will showcase the Audi name written as AUDI.

The Audi E is equipped with the latest Chinese technology, boasting a powerful 4WD system that delivers an impressive 764 horsepower. It is powered by a 100 kWh battery pack, providing a substantial range of 700 kilometers on a single charge. This electric car is designed to meet the demands of the Chinese market and is tailored to cater exclusively to Chinese consumers.

In the past, Audi faced challenges with the acceptance of electric vehicles in China. To address this issue, the German automaker made a bold move by launching a new brand in collaboration with SAIC. This new brand, which does not feature the classic Audi rings logo, aims to resonate more with Chinese consumers and strengthen Audi’s position in the electric vehicle market.

The Audi E was initially introduced as a concept car and has now progressed to the pre-production stage. During road tests in China, the Audi E was spotted sporting heavy camouflage, but its distinctive design elements were still visible. The front end of the Audi E features a unique air intake design and sleek headlights, staying true to the concept version of the car.

Notably, the Audi E showcases advanced features such as LiDAR sensors on the roof, camera-based side-view mirrors, and a sporty roofline with a rear spoiler. The vehicle’s design exudes a modern and dynamic aesthetic, making it stand out on the road. With a focus on performance and range, the Audi E is poised to make a mark in the competitive electric vehicle market in China.

The Audi E is expected to launch exclusively in China in the summer of 2025, marking a significant milestone for Audi’s electric vehicle lineup. With its cutting-edge technology, sleek design, and impressive performance capabilities, the Audi E is set to redefine the electric vehicle experience for Chinese consumers. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to Audi’s electric vehicle portfolio.
