Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SinoHytec, a leading Chinese company specializing in the research and development of fuel cell engine systems, recently introduced its latest-generation fuel cell engine, the M30+. This new innovation expands the company’s fuel cell engine portfolio and enhances its application capabilities, particularly in meeting the power requirements of heavy-duty trucks operating in long-haul, heavy-load, and trunk logistics scenarios.

The M30+ is equipped with a domestically-produced fuel cell stack that boasts independent intellectual property rights, achieving a remarkable 100% localization rate for its components. With a maximum mass power density exceeding 900W/kg, the engine delivers a rated power of 300kW, a peak power of 360kW, and an extreme power output of up to 380kW. This ensures precise and flexible power delivery across a wide operating range, guaranteeing stable and reliable performance for heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and heavy-duty tractors in demanding logistics environments.

One of the key highlights of the M30+ is its impressive efficiency levels. Thanks to its advanced fuel cell stack and system architecture, the engine achieves a rated efficiency of 52% and a peak efficiency exceeding 50%, making it a highly efficient choice for heavy-duty applications.

In terms of environmental adaptability, the M30+ excels in extreme climate conditions, with a cold activation temperature of up to -40°C and a storage temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.

For enhanced compatibility, the M30+ features a specialized single injector for fuel cells that supports both high-pressure gaseous hydrogen and low-pressure liquid hydrogen supply modes. This design accommodates a minimum hydrogen supply pressure of 0.5MPa(g), facilitating the transition of liquid hydrogen-powered heavy trucks from experimental settings to practical real-world applications.

To address cooling challenges in fuel cell heavy-duty trucks, the M30+ integrates a wide-temperature fuel cell stack developed in collaboration with SinoHytec’s partners. This technology elevates the engine’s maximum operating temperature to 95°C, with the potential for further increases to 105°C based on specific client requirements.
