Chinese Magnetic Power Component Manufacturer Scientic Secures Nearly 100 Million Yuan in Series A Funding

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Scientic Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (Scientic), a leading Chinese manufacturer of high-performance magnetic power components, recently announced the successful completion of its Series A funding round, raising nearly 100 million yuan. The investment was led by Zhuhai Gree Financial Investment Management Co., Ltd. (Gree), a subsidiary of Gree Group.

The funds raised in this round will be utilized for the development of magnetic materials and adhesives, as well as the expansion of product lines which include integrated mini inductors, automotive-grade inductors, and AI computing power inductors.

Established in June 2020, Scientic has a strong focus on proprietary raw material development, process innovation, and independent brand operations. The company’s product range caters to various industries such as smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, security systems, automotive applications, renewable energy, industrial control, and AI computing power. Notably, Scientic’s self-developed small-sized wire wound power inductor has already entered mass production.

Scientic’s inductors are widely used in consumer electronics products from major brands like HUAWEI, Samsung, Meta, Xiaomi, OPPO, and more. The company’s goal is to meet the growing global demand by expanding its production capacity. The renovation of Scientic’s 30,000-square-meter factory in Zhuhai is expected to be completed by April 2025, with plans to increase the monthly production capacity for mini inductors to 300 million units by June 2025.

Scientic’s automotive-grade inductors have been successfully integrated into smart car applications such as telematics, smart cockpits, and entertainment systems. These products have received CNAS laboratory accreditation certification and ACE-Q200 qualification, and are currently being used in vehicles from manufacturers like Toyota and BYD.

The company is also focusing on developing inductors tailored to meet the specific power supply requirements of AI applications. Scientic aims to deliver high reliability, efficiency, and low heat generation in its products to support a wide range of AI-powered hardware applications including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart home devices, security systems, storage solutions, cloud computing systems, and automotive applications.
