Exploring the Interior of the Citroen C3 Aircross
When stepping inside the Citroen C3 Aircross, you are greeted with a funky split dashboard design that centers around a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. The interior mirrors the exterior styling, with a mix of materials that give off a youthful and modern vibe.
While there is a fair amount of cheap plastic used throughout the cabin, Citroen has managed to elevate the overall ambiance with thoughtful touches. The dashboard features a unique sofa-like fabric, adding a touch of luxury, although it may feel a bit budget-friendly to the touch. Ambient lighting and quirky inspirational slogans like “be cool/have fun” are scattered around, adding a playful element to the interior.
The touchscreen interface, although advertised as new, feels a bit outdated, especially when it comes to adjusting the media volume solely through the touchscreen. The absence of a physical volume knob is a notable drawback, considering the presence of physical buttons for other functions like heating and ventilation control. Additionally, the speed limit warning system is not entirely reliable.
Instead of a traditional driver’s display, the Citroen C3 Aircross projects essential information onto a bar located just below the windshield. This innovative approach is reminiscent of the older C4 Picasso model and proves to be more user-friendly than the i-Cockpit system found in many Peugeot vehicles, thanks to its higher positioning above the small steering wheel.
One standout feature of the Citroen C3 Aircross is its optional seven-seat configuration, making it the shortest seven-seater on the market at just 4.39 meters in length. While opting for the seven-seater version does slightly reduce the boot space from 460 to 330 liters with the third row folded, it still offers more practicality compared to the C3 supermini. However, competitors like the Dacia Jogger offer more space at a lower price point.
