Dacia Spring Review 2024, Price & Specs

The Dacia Spring is a budget-friendly electric vehicle that has its roots in China, originally based on the platform of India’s Renault Kwid. While it has been available in left-hand-drive markets since 2021, a recent facelift has made it possible for Dacia to offer it in right-hand-drive form as well. This move was strategic, as it not only makes the Spring more accessible to a wider range of customers but also contributes to the overall profitability of the Renault Group’s electric vehicle sales.

One of the standout features of the Dacia Spring is its compact size. Measuring just 3701mm long, 1583mm wide, and 1480mm high, it is comparable in dimensions to the Hyundai i10. Despite its small stature, the Spring offers a redesigned interior with modern design elements, including a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The addition of a height-adjustable steering wheel enhances the driving experience.

In terms of performance, the Spring boasts a revised power steering tune, although the spring and damper rates remain unchanged. The car comes in a standard white paint color, with the option to upgrade to one of five other colors for an additional cost. The 64bhp models come equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, while UK versions feature air conditioning, electric front windows, remote central locking, rear parking sensors, USB ports, a 12V socket, and cruise control as standard.

For those looking for extra features, the Extreme trim level offers copper-colored accents, electric mirrors and rear windows, sat-nav, smartphone integration, and a bi-directional charger that allows the vehicle to power external devices. Overall, the Dacia Spring is a practical and affordable electric vehicle that offers a compelling option for budget-conscious consumers looking to make the switch to electric driving.
