Dacia Set to Unveil Second Phase of Strategy Road Map
The next phase of Dacia’s strategic roadmap is set to be unveiled in November, marking a significant milestone for the company’s brand identity transformation. CEO Denis Le Vot recently announced that the new Bigster SUV will signal the conclusion of the first chapter of Dacia’s modern reinvention.
Beginning in 2021 with the launch of the third-generation Sandero, Dacia introduced a new design language that has since been applied to models such as the Jogger seven-seater and the latest Duster. These vehicles have all been based on the same platform, showcasing Dacia’s commitment to innovation and evolution.
Looking ahead, Dacia plans to focus on electrification as part of the Renault Group’s Futurama company strategy. The company will provide more details on its upcoming phase after the summer, with a particular emphasis on electric vehicles.
Expanding the Line-Up
Over the next two years, Dacia will introduce two new C-segment models and an affordable Renault Twingo-based city car priced at €18,000 (£15,000). This expansion of Dacia’s portfolio reflects the brand’s ambition to cater to a wider range of customers and market segments.
The development of the electric city car is already well underway, with a targeted launch date in the middle of next year. Dacia’s rapid 16-month gestation process underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering new vehicles quickly and efficiently.
Addressing concerns about potential competition with Renault in the C-SUV segment, Le Vot expressed confidence in the market’s size and diversity. With three million C-SUVs sold in Europe annually, there is ample room for both Dacia and Renault to thrive and attract customers.
