Deepal Celebrates Milestone with 400,000th Car Produced
On December 30, Deepal announced a major achievement as its 400,000th car rolled off the production line. This impressive milestone was reached in just 29 months, marking a significant accomplishment for the Changan-owned brand.
The rapid growth of Deepal has been attributed to its increasing popularity in the market. In October, the brand had reported cumulative sales of 300,000, indicating a strong upward trajectory in sales volume. Notably, in the months of November and December, Deepal managed to sell over 30,000 units each month, further solidifying its position in the automotive industry.
Deepal’s journey to success began in 2022 with the launch of its first model, the SL03 sedan. The introduction of the S7 SUV shortly after resulted in an impressive sales figure of 10,000 units within just 35 days. Currently, the brand offers five models, including the SL03, S07, G318, L07, and S05, with a mix of all-electric and range-extended versions.
The recent success of the S05 SUV, which garnered 21,730 orders in a single month, has contributed significantly to Deepal’s sales growth. It is projected that December’s sales will exceed 36,000 units, with the total for 2024 expected to surpass 240,000.
Looking ahead to 2025, Deepal has set ambitious targets of reaching half a million in sales, with 400,000 units targeted for the domestic market and an additional 100,000 for overseas markets. The brand plans to launch two new models, including the flagship S09 SUV, to further expand its product lineup.
Deepal’s global expansion strategy includes plans to be available in 81 countries by the end of 2025. The brand made its entry into the Thai market in early 2024 and is currently constructing a plant in the country to support its operations. Additionally, the S07 has undergone Euro-NCAP testing, hinting at potential future sales in European markets.
With a strong foundation of sales growth and a clear roadmap for expansion, Deepal is poised for continued success in the competitive automotive industry.
