Dongfeng’s eπ 008 5-seater version is now available for pre-sale with a price range of 200,000 – 250,000 yuan (28,100 – 35,100 USD), offering three trims to choose from. This new version follows the launch of the current Dongfeng eπ 008 in June this year, which includes EREV and EV variants priced at 216,600 yuan (30,400 USD).

The three trims available for the 5-seater version are the 636 Max EV, 210 Ultra EREV, and 636 Ultra EV. Despite being a 5-seater model, the exterior dimensions of the new version remain the same as the existing six-seater model. The car comes in two interior color options – white and brown, with a drag coefficient of 0.268Cd and running on 265/45 R21 tires.

Inside, the cockpit layout remains unchanged, but the third-row seats have been removed. The car features a 15.6-inch central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, and a 9.2-inch digital rearview mirror. Standard features include the eπ Pilot advanced driving assistance system, 64-color ambient lights, wireless phone charging, voice AI assistant, and a premium sound system with 20 speakers.

The powertrain specifications remain the same as the six-seater version, with the EREV variant powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender and an electric motor. The EV variant is equipped with a larger battery pack, offering an extended driving range.

In September, Dongfeng eπ brand sold 10,010 units, bringing total sales to 40,168 units since its launch earlier this year. The Dongfeng eπ 007 is another popular model from the brand.

Overall, the new Dongfeng eπ 008 5-seater version offers enhanced features, improved performance, and a more efficient driving experience. Customers can choose from a range of trims and configurations to suit their preferences. Source: Dongfeng, Autohome.
