Dongfeng Motor Unveils New Technology Initiatives and Platforms at Autumn Brand Launch Event

Recently, Dongfeng Motor held its Autumn Brand Launch Event and the 9th Innovation and Technology Week in Wuhan, where it introduced several groundbreaking initiatives and platforms to drive innovation in the automotive sector.

At the event, Dongfeng Motor officially launched its “New Vehicles, New Life” Technology Leap 3.0 initiative, which aims to propel the company into the intelligent era of automotive development. The initiative envisions future intelligent vehicles that seamlessly integrate energy, transportation, and information networks within cities, creating a “three-network convergence.” These vehicles will feature smart driving capabilities, intelligent cockpits, smart platforms, intelligent energy systems, and smart manufacturing, leading to a “five-intelligence integration.”

One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of the next-generation Tianyuan vehicle architecture, which is designed to revolutionize vehicle structures and enhance the overall driving experience. The architecture incorporates advanced technologies such as Huawei’s Qiankun vehicle control module, AI large models for personalized driving experiences, and an automotive-grade multimodal optical communication solution for improved vehicle motion coordination.

Moreover, Dongfeng Motor showcased its new energy commercial vehicle platform, which includes the innovative T1 Platform. This fourth-generation platform features core modules like a modular fast-charging battery, an 800V silicon carbide high-efficiency electric drive axle, and an intelligent thermal management system. The platform is highly flexible, supporting hydrogen fuel cells, autonomous driving, and other modular technologies, catering to a wide range of vehicle types and use cases.

Furthermore, Dongfeng Motor announced strategic partnerships with 14 companies, including Tencent, to collaborate on AI intelligence, autonomous driving, smart cockpits, chips, and other cutting-edge technologies. These partnerships aim to create an intelligent innovation ecosystem and propel Dongfeng Motor to the forefront of automotive intelligence.
