Voyah, a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Dongfeng Motor, is set to break new ground with its latest SUV, Zhiyin. According to a report by local media outlet 36kr, Zhiyin will be the first production vehicle to incorporate DeepSeek’s AI model, marking a significant milestone in the automotive industry.

The integration of DeepSeek’s AI model into Voyah’s smart cockpit has been completed, with knowledge distillation training scheduled to commence on February 14. This cutting-edge technology will not only be featured in Zhiyin but also in Voyah’s Dream MPV, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation.

The deep integration with DeepSeek will enable Voyah’s cockpit to offer a range of advanced functions, including AI multi-semantic command recognition, AI poem writing, AI painting, AI chat, and AI information retrieval in real time. This integration will significantly enhance the AI responsiveness, accuracy, and expandability of Voyah’s car system.

Voyah Zhiyin’s cloud-based system will continuously fuse and distill the DeepSeek R1 model, allowing for rapid iteration of the technology and cost reduction in cockpit development. Users can expect to experience the AI smart cockpit through an OTA update starting February 14, gradually unlocking DeepSeek-related capabilities in their vehicles.

DeepSeek’s AI capabilities have garnered widespread recognition, with its latest open-source model, DeepSeek R1, outperforming competitors while being more cost-effective to train. The technology has been praised by industry leaders, including He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of Xpeng, who highlighted the significant opportunities AI presents across all industries.

In addition to Voyah, other automotive manufacturers are also embracing DeepSeek’s advanced AI technology. Geely Auto recently announced the completion of deep integration of its Geely Xingrui AI Large Model with DeepSeek, further solidifying the technology’s impact on the global tech scene.

Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking technology from Voyah and DeepSeek.
