The Toyota bZ3C, set to launch in early 2025, promises to be FAW Toyota’s most intelligent car yet, boasting advanced intelligent driving features and a cutting-edge intelligent cockpit. Revealed earlier this year at the Beijing Auto Show, the bZ3C is a midsize SUV with a range of up to 630 km. It shares similarities with the bZ Sport Crossover Concept showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show the year before, featuring a sleek design with dimensions of 4780/1866/1510 mm (length, width, height) and a wheelbase of 2880 mm.
The exterior of the bZ3C offers a variety of looks with five different color options, including black, white, gray, orange, and red. Inside, the car can be customized with red, black, or white upholstery, complemented by black accents on the dashboard and steering wheel. The dashboard is dominated by a 15.6-inch infotainment screen supporting over 200 third-party apps and features the first driver and occupant monitoring system in its class, including AI face recognition, in-car video calls, and gesture and voice control.
The front seats can lie flat to create a snooze space, and the trunk offers a modest 463 liters of space, enough for four 24-inch suitcases. The bZ3C is equipped with a Lidar unit for advanced smart driving capabilities, including urban smart driving, high-speed driving, and parking functions. The car is powered by a TZ200XS003 200 kW electric motor and features a lithium-ion phosphate blade battery developed by BYD subsidiary FinDreams, offering two versions with ranges of 550 km and 630 km.
The FAW Toyota joint venture is looking to make a mark in the competitive market with the bZ3C, which features a distinctive design and promising technological advancements. With its intelligent features and impressive range, the bZ3C could be the boost the JV needs to stay relevant in the ever-evolving automotive industry.
