New McLaren and Forseven Merger: A Look Into the Future

Forseven, a leading automotive company, is set to merge with McLaren, creating a powerhouse in the luxury car market. With three units, including a new design centre opening in Bicester, Oxfordshire, and offices in Leamington Spa, Forseven has attracted top talent from neighboring JLR.

The integration of McLaren’s facilities in Woking and Yorkshire, along with Forseven’s locations in Bicester and Shalford near Guildford, will create a centralized hub for innovation and production. CEO Collins sees Bicester as the ideal location, strategically positioned between the Midlands and London/south-east, to attract a diverse talent pool.

While plans to rationalize the company’s footprint are in place, all current facilities will be retained for the time being. The location for producing the new McLaren models derived from Forseven has yet to be confirmed, with Collins ruling out China as an option.

Focus on Value Over Volume

Collins emphasizes the importance of creating value and delivering exceptional experiences to consumers over focusing on sales volume. With McLaren selling just over 2000 supercars last year, the potential to reach numbers similar to Aston Martin’s target of 7000 sales per year is within reach.

By leveraging the brand and portfolio of cars, Forseven and McLaren aim to establish themselves as leaders in the luxury car market, surpassing volume targets through a focus on quality and customer experience.

The Future of Forseven

As Forseven transitions into the new merger with McLaren, the company’s identity and legacy will continue to evolve. With a strong emphasis on innovation and excellence, Forseven’s presence within the luxury car industry is set to grow even further.
