Electrify America and Royal Farms have joined forces to introduce “Hyper-Fast” EV charging stations at eight Royal Farms locations in Maryland. The partnership aims to provide fast and convenient charging options for electric vehicle owners in the state.

The first two stations are already operational in Halethorpe and Oxon Hill, with plans for more to be installed in Annapolis, Catonsville, Charlotte Hall, Columbia, Pikesville, and Towson. These fast charging stations will feature Electrify America’s 350 kW chargers, capable of adding enough power for hundreds of miles in just 20 minutes, provided the EV is compatible with high-power charging. Once all stations are up and running, there will be over 55 Electrify America ports available across the eight Royal Farms sites.

Drivers can now enjoy the convenience of grabbing a coffee, fried chicken, or snacks inside the Royal Farms store while their car charges outside. Anthony Lambkin, Electrify America’s vice president of operations, emphasized the importance of combining speed and convenience to enhance the overall EV experience for daily commutes and road trips.

Royal Farms views this initiative as a way to adapt to evolving customer needs and make it easier for drivers to choose electric vehicles without compromising speed or comfort. Thomas Ruszin, the chain’s fuel & environmental leader, highlighted the benefits of the new stations in supporting the shift towards electric transportation.

In addition to the Maryland locations, Electrify America recently unveiled a major DC fast charging hub in Santa Monica, CA, expanding its network to provide more charging options for EV owners across the country.

As the transition to electric vehicles continues to gain momentum, partnerships like the one between Electrify America and Royal Farms play a crucial role in building a reliable and accessible charging infrastructure for drivers. With more fast charging options available at convenient locations, electric vehicle adoption is expected to accelerate, driving the shift towards sustainable transportation.

The collaboration between Electrify America and Royal Farms reflects a commitment to innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a cleaner and greener future in the transportation sector. By offering fast and convenient charging solutions, both companies are contributing to the growth of electric mobility and reducing carbon emissions in the process.
