The new facility will have the capacity to produce both fuel-powered and new energy vehicle models on a shared production line, with an annual output of 100,000 mini trucks. Trial production is set to commence by the end of October this year.
The project involves a unique collaboration between the government and enterprise, leveraging resources from an existing new energy vehicle base and upgrading the former Hailong Auto City plant. Notable upgrades include a new welding workshop, enhancements to painting and final assembly workshops, and the installation of advanced manufacturing equipment to meet contemporary production standards.
Current progress includes the start of production for stamping molds, ongoing installation of welding equipment, and steady advancements in other process modifications. Furthermore, infrastructure upgrades within the industrial park are also underway to ensure seamless project development.
The project will cater to both traditional and new energy commercial vehicle platforms, encompassing gasoline, natural gas, battery-electric, and hybrid powertrains. It will incorporate advanced intelligent manufacturing technologies to establish an efficient, adaptable, and sustainable production system.
A comprehensive plan comprising 153 process development tasks has been devised to optimize production efficiency and elevate product quality. Moreover, the project will implement a passenger vehicle-level matching system to refine vehicle design, ensuring impeccable exterior finish and superior product standards.
