FAW Toyota Unveils Locally Developed New AVALON Car in Chengdu Plant
Beijing (Gasgoo)- FAW Toyota made a significant milestone on June 24 as they rolled off the production line of their first independently developed new AVALON car at their Chengdu plant.

The AVALON project was initiated in 2019 at the Chengdu plant with a focus on prioritizing customer needs and quality. The new model update aims to meet the rapidly changing market demands by setting new standards for high-quality mid-sized sedans.
The new AVALON is equipped with Toyota’s latest fifth-generation hybrid system, delivering improved power and fuel efficiency. Safety features include TSS 3.0, PCS pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection, DRCC with full-speed car following function, LDA, LTA, RSA, EDSS, and PDA, ensuring enhanced overall safety for drivers and passengers.
With regards to configuration, the new AVALON introduces two new exterior colors, a panoramic roof option, and a more luxurious front grille design. The vehicle also features a glass smart cockpit with a 12.3-inch central media screen and a 12-inch fully digital instrument panel to cater to diverse market demands. Advanced driving assistance features like PKSB, BSM, and PVM are included to elevate the driving experience.
