The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, Huawei’s smart car alliance, recently revealed that the LUXEED R7 model has achieved remarkable success in the market. The LUXEED R7 lineup was recently expanded on December 19, 2024, with the introduction of two range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) variants in addition to the existing pure-electric versions. Priced between 249,800 yuan and 289,800 yuan, the new REEV variants offer a more affordable entry point compared to the battery-electric vehicle (BEV) version, with a price reduction of 10,000 yuan. Deliveries of the R7 REEV began on January 5.

The R7 REEV shares the same design and dimensions as the BEV version, measuring 4,956mm in length, 1,981mm in width, and 1,634mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm. The entry-level model does not include a LiDAR sensor, while the higher trim level does.

Inside the R7 REEV, drivers can expect a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel positioned strategically to reduce glare. All models come equipped with ventilated, heated, and massaging seats, with the front passenger seat featuring a zero-gravity design. Standard features across the lineup include electric sunshades, dual-layer acoustic and thermal insulating glass, and privacy glass for the rear.

The R7 REEV is powered by a 36.019kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, allowing for a top speed of 200 km/h. It offers a battery-powered range of 195 km and 201 km, with a combined CLTC range of up to 1,570 km.
