Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America (MEAA) has recently announced a strategic partnership with HAAS Alert, a move that will see the integration of its in-cabin monitoring system, FLEXConnect, with the Safety Cloud digital alerting platform.

This collaboration is set to transform the driving experience by focusing on enhancing driver safety through the use of real-time data and alerts. The unveiling of this integration took place at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), where MEAA showcased FLEXConnect’s capabilities in leveraging vehicle data for safety and personalization.

By integrating with Safety Cloud, FLEXConnect will provide an additional layer of protection for drivers utilizing MEAA’s in-vehicle monitoring systems. MEAA Advanced Development director, Mohammad Horani, emphasized the importance of safety in the FLEXConnect system, making the partnership with Safety Cloud a natural fit for enhancing the overall driving experience.

Safety Cloud is renowned for delivering real-time safety notifications to millions of drivers daily, including alerts from emergency vehicles, work zones, tow trucks, and other road hazards. Compatible with various Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Volkswagen vehicles, as well as Apple Maps and Waze, this technology plays a crucial role in improving roadway safety by alerting drivers to nearby hazards.

The collaboration between Safety Cloud and FLEXConnect will enable drivers to receive in-vehicle alerts about nearby roadway hazards, going beyond digital alerting. In emergency situations, FLEXConnect will communicate with other drivers through Safety Cloud, providing crucial information about disabled vehicles ahead.

HAAS Alert’s Business Development Vice President for Connected Vehicles, Hussein Zaarour, expressed excitement about the partnership with Mitsubishi Electric, noting that the focus on automotive innovation and safety aligns perfectly with HAAS Alert’s mission to enhance vehicle and road safety.
