FTXT, Liyuan Group, and Yutong Launch First Batch of Hydrogen-Powered Trucks in Anyang

Shanghai (Gasgoo) – In a recent development, thirty fuel cell heavy-duty trucks manufactured by Yutong, with key components supplied by FTXT-Liyuan, have been officially put into operation in Anyang city, Henan province. These trucks, primarily used for transporting coke for Liyuan Group, mark a significant milestone in promoting hydrogen vehicle applications in Henan province.

The collaboration between FTXT, Liyuan Group, and Yutong Group signifies a crucial step in the advancement of hydrogen-powered vehicles in China. Following the success of hydrogen-powered buses, this joint venture aims to revolutionize the commercial vehicle sector with innovative technologies.

The fleet comprises 49-tonne fuel cell heavy-duty trucks equipped with FTXT-Liyuan’s latest 120 kW fuel cell engine. These trucks offer benefits such as low noise, minimal hydrogen consumption, and a driving range of over 500 kilometers. The hydrogen-electric coupling design ensures safety and adaptability in various operational conditions.

These trucks will initially operate on coke transportation routes for Liyuan Group, covering distances ranging from 20 to 50 kilometers. This collaboration aims to establish efficient and environmentally friendly hydrogen logistics systems in Anyang city.

Liyuan Group, a leading coal enterprise in Henan province, produces high-purity hydrogen daily and is set to generate 100 million cubic meters annually. The company also operates a logistics park and a hydrogen refueling station with significant capacities.

Yutong Trucks boasts a diverse range of fuel cell vehicle products, including buses, tractors, dump trucks, and sanitation vehicles, with nearly 3,000 hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles deployed.
