GAC Group Unveils Strategic Roadmap for Intelligent New Energy Commercial Vehicles
GAC Group recently hosted its Commercial Vehicle Strategy and Product Launch Conference at the GAC Technology Museum in Shanghai, where the company revealed its “135” strategic roadmap. This roadmap is aimed at accelerating the transition to intelligent new energy commercial vehicles and establishing GAC Group as a key player in the sector with a target annual revenue of 30 billion yuan by 2030.
At the event, two key innovations were showcased: the T9, a new energy heavy-duty truck designed for short-haul operations, and the L intelligent driving platform developed by MiracoMotor, a technology innovation enterprise incubated within GAC Group. The platform’s debut model, the Robobus L60, was also unveiled during the event.
The “135” strategy outlined by GAC Group General Manager Feng Xingya includes the goal of achieving 30 billion yuan in annual revenue by 2030 and becoming a core player in the new energy commercial vehicle sector. The strategy also focuses on advancing intelligent manufacturing, fostering industry alliances, and building a user-centric ecosystem to drive innovation in electrification and intelligence.
The T9 heavy-duty truck addresses key pain points in the short-haul transportation industry with features such as low energy consumption, high cost efficiency, and intelligent capabilities. Equipped with GAC Hino’s proprietary technologies, the T9 offers operators high comfort, functionality, and operational efficiency.
MiracoMotor’s L intelligent driving platform, showcased at the event, is designed for scale applications. The platform’s first model, the Robobus L60, features passenger car-grade drive-by-wire steering and brake-by-wire systems for faster response times and higher precision. The platform will also introduce two derivative products: the Robotruck T45 and the Robovan X60, scheduled for production in the coming years.
The Robotruck T45 is a driverless logistics vehicle with a 15-cubic-meter cargo capacity and a payload exceeding 2.1 tonnes. On the other hand, the Robovan X60, developed to European standards, offers an 800V high-voltage platform for improved efficiency and a cargo volume exceeding 16.5 cubic meters. With a 25% increase in utilization efficiency compared to traditional designs, the Robovan X60 is ideal for digital logistics operations and dual-purpose passenger and cargo applications.
Overall, GAC Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the commercial vehicle sector is evident through its strategic roadmap and new product offerings. With a focus on intelligent new energy solutions, the company is poised to make a significant impact on the industry in the coming years.
