Chinese lithium battery separator film supplier SEMCORP secures order from LG Energy Solution

In a significant development, Yunnan Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. (SEMCORP), a prominent Chinese lithium-ion battery separator film supplier, has announced that its subsidiary Shanghai SEMCORP has signed a supply agreement with South Korea’s leading battery manufacturer, LG Energy Solution (LGES). According to the agreement, LGES has planned to procure approximately 3.55 billion-square-meter lithium-ion battery separators from Shanghai SEMCORP and its affiliates between 2025 and 2027.
