Geely’s AEROFUGIA to Establish East China Regional Headquarters Project in Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 15, AEROFUGIA, a subsidiary of Geely Technology Group specializing in low-altitude mobility solutions, signed an agreement with the government of Xiaoshan district in Hangzhou city and Hangzhou Low-Altitude Industry Development Co., Ltd. for the establishment of its East China regional headquarters project. This strategic move marks a significant step towards advancing innovative low-altitude aircraft technologies in the region.

The forthcoming project will encompass essential facilities such as an R&D center, a sales & supply chain hub, a manufacturing & delivery center for the AE200 aircraft, and the headquarters office. Leveraging Hangzhou’s expertise in artificial intelligence, electronics information, and intelligent connected vehicle industries, the R&D center will focus on developing smart solutions for low-altitude aircraft and supporting infrastructures.

The AE200, AEROFUGIA’s pioneering fully electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, has successfully completed key technological milestones and is on track for commercial operations by 2026. The company’s commitment to green, low-altitude transportation solutions underscores its dedication to sustainable mobility worldwide.

In a groundbreaking achievement in June 2024, AEROFUGIA successfully conducted the first public flight of the AE200 eVTOL following rigorous testing, solidifying its status as a pioneering force in China’s low-altitude aviation sector.
