The collaboration between Farizon Auto and Bozhou city aims to invest in the entire industrial chain of the methanol-hydrogen sector. Leveraging Bozhou’s resources in new energy vehicles, biomass, and geographical advantages, the partnership will focus on developing green methanol production, methanol refueling infrastructure, and methanol-powered vehicles to enhance the methanol-hydrogen industry ecosystem.
Bozhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary Du Yan’an emphasized the city’s commitment to building a clean and low-carbon energy system. With a focus on green growth sectors, Bozhou is an ideal partner for Farizon Auto in advancing the methanol-hydrogen ecosystem.
CEO of Farizon Auto, Mr. Zhou Jianqun, highlighted the benefits of methanol as a clean and renewable energy source. By promoting methanol-electric technologies in the commercial vehicle sector, Farizon Auto aims to contribute to sustainable transportation solutions.
Under the partnership, Bozhou city and local enterprises will work together to establish a methanol-hydrogen ecosystem. Farizon Auto will collaborate with Windey Energy Technology Group in green methanol production to support this initiative.
The agreement focuses on promoting green and low-carbon transportation through the methanol-hydrogen industry. Both parties plan to develop new energy commercial vehicles and components, establish a demonstration zone for methanol-hydrogen electric vehicle applications, and support zero-carbon methanol production projects.
Farizon Auto has already established over 500 methanol refueling stations in China, with plans to expand to 4,000 stations by 2027. In 2024, Chunqing Technology, a subsidiary of Farizon Auto, completed successful financing rounds, reaching a valuation exceeding $1.5 billion.
