Great Wall Motor Reports 2.28% Year-Over-Year Dip in March 2025 Sales
Great Wall Motor, a leading Chinese automaker, recently announced its monthly sales figures for March 2025. The company sold a total of 97,991 vehicles during the month, marking a 2.28% decrease compared to the same period last year. Out of these sales, 31,806 units were sold in overseas markets.
One of the highlights of the sales report was the performance of new energy vehicles (NEVs). Great Wall Motor sold 25,174 NEVs in March, showcasing a 15.04% increase year-over-year. The company has sold a total of 62,558 NEVs in the first three months of the year.
Overall, in the first quarter of 2025, Great Wall Motor reported cumulative sales of 256,807 vehicles, reflecting a 6.73% decline compared to the same period last year. Of these sales, 90,890 units were sold in overseas markets.

March 2025 saw positive sales performance for WEY and Great Wall Pickup, the only two brands that experienced year-over-year growth. WEY sold 4,675 units, marking a 29.57% increase, while Great Wall Pickup sold 20,421 units, representing a 16.23% growth.
However, ORA witnessed a significant decline in sales, with only 2,776 vehicles sold in March, a decrease of 53.9% compared to the previous year. TANK, Great Wall Motor’s off-roader brand, sold 17,381 vehicles, down by 8.29% year-over-year. The HAVAL brand experienced the smallest decline, with 52,732 units sold, reflecting a 2.45% decrease compared to the same period last year.
