Great Wall Motor’s HAVAL brand has recently launched the second-generation HAVAL H9, the flagship model in its new family-oriented off-road vehicle category. The SUV comes in three petrol-powered variants, each priced lower by 6,000 yuan compared to pre-sale prices. The Jijing (“Extreme”) edition is priced at 229,900 yuan, the Tuojing (“Explore”) edition at 215,900 yuan, and the Tanjing (“Adventure”) edition at 199,900 yuan.

The exterior design of the second-generation HAVAL H9 showcases a bold and boxy appearance with a large grille, distinct LED headlights, and a muscular hood. The side profile features straight lines, flared wheel arches, and modern blacked-out accents, while the rear boasts vertically arranged LED taillights and a rear-mounted spare tire. The SUV also offers towing capability and impressive off-road specs like a 31° approach angle, a 26° departure angle, and a ground clearance of 224 mm.

Inside, the HAVAL H9 features a dual-tone cabin with soft-touch materials, a digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, and a multifunctional steering wheel. The center console retains physical buttons for enhanced usability. The SUV offers eight pre-configured modification points for customization and a towing capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes.

Built on the TANK platform, the HAVAL H9 features a body-on-frame design with two size options depending on the spare tire placement. The SUV is equipped with advanced off-road features like seven driving modes, TOD intelligent four-wheel drive, and electronic differential locks for adaptability on challenging terrains.

Powering the second-generation HAVAL H9 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 165 kW of power. The SUV also includes off-road capabilities such as an all-terrain control system, low-speed four-wheel drive, and a tank turn feature.
