Harman recently unveiled the first in-vehicle display powered by Samsung’s Neo QLED technology in the new Tata Harrier EV. This groundbreaking development aims to meet the growing consumer demand for high-quality visual experiences in vehicles, comparable to premium televisions and personal devices.

The new 14.53-inch floating Neo QLED display is specifically designed to provide exceptional visual quality in various lighting conditions. It features a cadmium-free Quantum Dot display with intelligent Blue Mini-LED control, enhancing sustainability and energy efficiency while delivering superior visual performance.

With a peak brightness of 1200 nits, perfect black levels, and coverage of a wide 95% NTSC color gamut, the display surpasses traditional automotive LCD displays. Harman’s proprietary real-time visual control algorithms optimize image output, reducing power consumption and making it ideal for electric vehicles.

Anand Kulkarni, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility’s chief products officer, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Harman, stating that they are bringing the best of consumer display innovation to India’s most capable SUV, the Harrier EV. This transformation aims to turn the vehicle into a true third living space after home and office.

The display’s ultra-slim design, with bezels measuring under 5mm, ensures an immersive viewing experience while meeting strict automotive durability and safety standards. This launch builds on the long-standing partnership between Harman and Tata Motors, which initially focused on integrating JBL-branded audio systems in Tata vehicles.

Sanjeev Kulkarni, Harman’s sales vice president, emphasized the joint commitment to innovation and delivering top-notch in-cabin experiences to customers. From JBL premium audio to advanced intelligent cockpit solutions, Harman plays a crucial role in enhancing the Tata driving experience. The introduction of the new display product marks a significant milestone in their collaboration.

In addition to the display launch, Harman introduced Ready Aware, a vehicle-to-cloud software service aimed at enhancing driver safety and situational awareness through real-time contextual insights. This innovative solution further demonstrates Harman’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technologies for the automotive industry.

Overall, Harman’s integration of Samsung’s Neo QLED technology in the Tata Harrier EV sets a new standard for in-vehicle displays, offering a premium visual experience that rivals top-tier consumer electronics. This collaboration between Harman and Tata Motors showcases a shared dedication to innovation and excellence in the automotive sector.
