HG, a Danish equipment manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest addition to its lineup of electric site dumpers – the E3000 model. This new dumper has a 3-tonne capacity, allowing it to move sand, rocks, debris, construction waste, and building supplies across rugged urban job sites without emissions or noise pollution.
The E3000 features a 180° swivel tip on the bucket as standard equipment, with an optional high tip version also available. This versatility makes it suitable for handling a wide range of materials on construction sites. According to Nikolaj Birkerod, CEO of HG, the E3000 is not only better for the environment and people but also more efficient and cost-effective. It can run for a full working day on a single charge and save customers up to 15% per operating hour compared to a diesel dumper.
The dumper is powered by a 29 kWh lithium battery that can be fully recharged in about four hours using a standard 220 charger. It boasts a unique articulated drivetrain with four independent in-wheel motors, making it the most energy-efficient power transfer in the industry. This design results in lower operating costs and more hours on-site between charges.
The E3000 is designed for contractors and rental companies looking to maximize productivity without compromising on environmental responsibility. It offers a carrying capacity of 3 tonnes and an industry-leading 12 hours of effective runtime on a single charge. The dumper is set to be delivered to customers in early 2026, although pricing and availability outside the European market have not been confirmed.
Overall, the E3000 represents a significant step forward in the electric equipment market, offering a compelling combination of performance, reliability, and environmental sustainability. With the increasing focus on efficiency and cost reduction among commercial fleet managers, electric equipment like the E3000 is poised to become a popular choice in the construction industry.
