Chinese power battery manufacturer Hina Battery has recently unveiled a groundbreaking battery solution designed specifically for the commercial vehicle market. Known as “Hina Battery · Haixing,” this sodium-ion battery solution promises to revolutionize the way commercial vehicles are powered.

At an event held in Fuyang, Anhui province on March 28, Hina introduced four new products as part of their sodium-ion battery solution. These batteries boast an impressive energy density of over 165 Wh/kg and can be fully charged in just 20-25 minutes, setting a new standard for efficiency in the industry.

One of the key features of Hina’s sodium-ion battery solution is its exceptional performance in extreme temperatures. These batteries can maintain stable discharge performance even in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 45°C, making them ideal for a wide range of operating conditions.

Additionally, Hina’s sodium-ion batteries are designed to have a cycle life of over 8,000 cycles, even with continuous fast charging. This longevity is a testament to the quality and durability of these batteries, ensuring that they will provide reliable support for commercial vehicles over an extended period of time.

Hina has introduced four different products as part of their sodium-ion battery solution, each tailored to specific use cases within the commercial vehicle industry. The K150 and K210 models are ideal for short-distance transportation scenarios, while the K280 and K350 models are better suited for logistics transportation applications.

Compared to traditional commercial vehicle battery solutions, Hina’s sodium-ion batteries offer greater output at significantly lower costs, according to Hina’s general manager Li Shujun. This cost-effectiveness combined with the impressive performance of these batteries makes them a compelling choice for commercial vehicle operators looking to optimize their operations.

Since its founding in 2017, Hina has been at the forefront of sodium-ion battery technology. Their batteries have already been successfully deployed in electric two-wheelers, electric vehicles, and energy storage power stations, demonstrating their versatility and reliability.

In collaboration with Sehol, a brand owned by JAC and Volkswagen Anhui, Hina has also developed a test vehicle equipped with sodium-ion batteries based on the Sehol E10X model. This partnership highlights the growing importance of sodium-ion battery technology in the automotive industry and the potential for further innovation in this space.

With the release of their new sodium-ion battery solution for commercial vehicles, Hina is poised to make a significant impact on the industry. By combining cutting-edge technology with a focus on performance and efficiency, Hina is paving the way for a more sustainable and cost-effective future for commercial vehicle operators.
