Honda Motor recently unveiled prototypes of the first two models set to launch under the company’s new “0” Series battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon will be produced at American Honda Motor Company’s Ohio plant. The Honda 0 SUV will be the first to enter production, with a North American launch planned for the first half of 2026, followed by global markets.

Introducing the ASIMO OS, an original vehicle operating system for use in Honda 0 Series models, along with the debut of the Afeela 1 sedan under the joint venture with Sony Honda Mobility Company, further showcased Honda’s commitment to electric mobility. The Afeela 1, a four-door, all-wheel-drive sedan, is expected to commence production later this year, with US deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2026.

At CES 2025, Honda also provided a glimpse of its in-house Level 3 automated driving technologies and highlighted the “ultra-personal optimization” of the ASIMO OS, emphasizing a user-centric approach to technology integration.

The mid-size Honda 0 SUV, based on a dedicated BEV architecture, will be the first model to go into production. Embodying the company’s “Thin, Light and Wise” design philosophy, the SUV offers a spacious cabin and enhanced visibility. Equipped with a steer-by-wire system, the Honda 0 SUV promises exceptional handling and control, setting a new standard in the electric vehicle segment.

On the other hand, the Honda 0 Saloon, serving as the flagship model of the Honda 0 Series, features cutting-edge technologies that reflect the brand’s development ethos. With a sleek, sporty design and a spacious interior despite its compact exterior dimensions, the Honda 0 Saloon offers a blend of style, performance, and comfort.

Honda’s foray into the electric vehicle market signifies a significant shift towards sustainable mobility solutions. By combining innovative technology with a user-centric approach, the Honda 0 Series aims to redefine the electric vehicle experience for consumers worldwide.
