Luxeed, a joint venture between Huawei and Chery, has achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of its 100,000th vehicle. This marks a momentous occasion for the new automotive brand, which is part of Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business.
The announcement of this milestone was made by Luxeed on Weibo, with plans for a celebration ceremony at its plant in Wuhu, Anhui province. Luxeed is one of five automotive brands under the HIMA business, alongside BAIC Group’s Stelato, Seres Group’s Aito, SAIC Motor’s Shangjie, and JAC’s Maextro.
Luxeed made its debut in the electric vehicle market with the launch of the Luxeed S7 sedan in November 2023. This model is offered in three variants with prices starting at RMB 229,800. Following the success of the S7, Luxeed introduced its second model, the Luxeed R7 coupe SUV, in September 2024.
Initially available only as a battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Luxeed R7 later added extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. The SUV’s BEV variants are priced starting at RMB 259,800, while the EREV variants start at RMB 249,800. The Luxeed R7 has received overwhelming demand, with cumulative firm orders exceeding 80,000 units as of March 2025.
