Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance recently unveiled the Luxeed R7 coupe SUV, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between Huawei and Chery. The Luxeed R7 is the second model in the Luxeed series and promises to deliver a revolutionary driving experience.

According to Mr. Yu Chengdong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU at Huawei, the Luxeed R7 features a sleek coupe SUV design with a spacious interior and cutting-edge intelligent technology. The “R” in Luxeed R7 symbolizes revolution, highlighting the vehicle’s commitment to breakthrough and innovation.

Positioned below the AITO M9, the Luxeed R7 is priced competitively between 300,000 yuan and 400,000 yuan. This puts it in direct competition with luxury models like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and the BMW X6. The Luxeed R7 will be equipped with Huawei’s ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and the Tuling platform, similar to other models developed by Huawei in partnership with leading automotive companies.

One of the standout features of the Luxeed R7 is its potential integration of the latest generation HarmonyOS 4.0 smart cockpit system. This system promises to enhance the overall driving experience and provide seamless connectivity for drivers and passengers.

In terms of powertrain options, the Luxeed R7 will offer an all-electric version with Huawei’s DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide power platform and DriveONE three-in-one electric drive system. The extended-range version may include a 1.5T range extender paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a CLTC-rated battery-powered range of over 200 km.

The Luxeed R7 is expected to hit the market in the third quarter of this year, offering consumers a stylish and technologically advanced option in the coupe SUV segment. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration between Huawei and Chery in the intelligent automotive space.
