Hyundai Bayon Review 2024, Price & Specs

Introducing the Updated Hyundai Bayon: A Closer Look

Upon first glance, it may be challenging to pinpoint the changes made to the new Bayon in comparison to its predecessor. However, a closer inspection reveals subtle yet impactful updates that enhance the overall appeal of this stylish crossover.

The exterior of the Bayon remains sleek and modern, with tweaks that maintain its original aesthetic while incorporating fresh elements. A new front grille, revised headlights, and distinct LED daytime running lights, reminiscent of the Hyundai Kona, contribute to its refined appearance.

Although the bumpers have been restyled both at the front and rear, the overall design evolution is relatively modest. The Bayon retains its signature sharp lines and geometric shapes, ensuring that it remains distinctive in a crowded crossover market.

With the introduction of the second-generation Kona, the positioning of the Bayon has been strategically enhanced. By adjusting the proportions of the Kona, the Bayon now occupies a comfortable space between Hyundai’s small SUV and the i20 hatchback.

Underneath its exterior, the Bayon continues to ride on the Hyundai-Kia developed ‘K2’ platform, sharing its DNA with the Kia Stonic. The new model is exclusively available with a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine, replacing the previous mild-hybrid options.

Trim options for the Bayon have been streamlined, offering three distinct levels: Advance, Premium, and Ultimate. The entry-level Advance trim, starting at £22,480, features 16-inch alloy wheels and a dual 10.25-inch screen setup for the driver’s display and infotainment system.

Stepping up to the Premium trim at £23,880 adds 17-inch wheels, two-tone paint options, automatic climate control, additional USB-C ports, heated seats and steering wheel, and front parking sensors for added convenience.

The range-topping Ultimate trim, priced at £25,280, elevates the Bayon with premium amenities such as wireless phone charging, a Bose sound system, a glass sunroof, and blind spot warning technology for enhanced safety.

Across all variants, Hyundai has equipped the Bayon with advanced safety features like intelligent speed limit assist, cruise control, lane keep assist, and forward collision avoidance to ensure a secure driving experience.
