Hyundai Inster Cross confirmed for UK at £28,745

Introducing the Hyundai Inster Cross: A Ruggedly Styled Electric City Car

The upcoming Hyundai Inster Cross is set to make waves in the UK market this spring, with a starting price of £28,745. This ruggedly styled version of Hyundai’s new electric city car features distinctive design elements that set it apart from its counterparts.

One of the standout features of the Inster Cross is its chunkier front and rear bumpers, which extend the car’s length by 20mm to 3845mm. Additionally, the vehicle sports a large roof rack and a set of tough-looking 17-inch alloy wheels, giving it a more robust appearance compared to the standard Inster model.

For those looking to make a statement, the Inster Cross offers an interior finished in green with lime accents, along with the option of Amazonas Green matt paint for an extra £800. Despite its rugged exterior, the Inster Cross shares the same specifications as the higher-specification 02 version of the Inster.

Under the hood, the Inster Cross is powered by a 49kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery and a 113bhp front-mounted motor, providing a range of up to 223 miles and a 0-62mph sprint time of 10.6 seconds. While the Inster Cross may look like it’s ready for off-road adventures, it does not offer four-wheel drive as an option.

One of the key highlights of the Inster Cross is its efficiency-boosting heat pump, which comes as standard. The battery can be charged at rates of up to 85kW, allowing for a 10-80% refill time of just 30 minutes.

Inside the cabin, the Inster Cross offers a flexible seating arrangement for four passengers. Each seat can be folded flat, and the rear seats can slide and recline independently to optimize legroom or boot space as needed. The vehicle also features a pair of 10.25-inch digital displays, including an instrument panel and an infotainment touchscreen, as well as Hyundai’s full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Priced at £2000 more than the Inster 02, the Inster Cross is expected to hit UK dealerships by May, offering customers a stylish and versatile electric city car option with a rugged twist.
