Vanwall has unveiled its latest creation, the Vandervell H-GT, based on the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N platform. This high-performance electric vehicle features a stunning makeover inspired by the classic Lancia Delta HF Integrale. However, what sets this body kit apart is not just its aesthetic appeal, but the impressive 500 lb. weight savings it offers.
Developed by ByKOLLES Racing, the Vandervell H-GT boasts a lightweight carbon fiber body that reduces the car’s weight by over 230 kg (507 lbs.). This weight optimization results in enhanced performance, allowing the car to outpace the standard IONIQ 5 N hot hatch in terms of speed and agility.
Mechanically identical to the IONIQ 5 N, the Vandervell H-GT packs a punch with 641 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds. With the weight reduction, the car’s performance is further enhanced, making it even quicker on the road.
The Vandervell H-GT was first introduced in 2023 during ByKOLLES’ participation in the World Endurance Championship. The car has since garnered attention, with Bernie Ecclestone, ex-Formula 1 supremo, taking a keen interest in the new-age Lancia-inspired design.
Despite its premium features and performance capabilities, the Vandervell H-GT comes with a price tag of €128,000 ($145,405). This cost is in addition to the already substantial price of the IONIQ 5 N, making it a luxury investment for those seeking top-tier performance in an electric vehicle.
Overall, the Vandervell H-GT is a unique and luxurious statement piece that combines supercar levels of performance with Hyundai’s renowned daily driver dependability. Its striking design and exceptional performance capabilities make it a standout choice for electric car enthusiasts looking for a high-performance vehicle with a touch of vintage inspiration.
