IM Motors Enhances Smart Cockpit with DeepSeek AI Integration
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- IM Motors, the premium electric vehicle maker backed by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang High-Tech, recently announced the integration of the DeepSeek AI large model into its smart cockpit system. This collaboration also includes partnerships with other AI models like Doubao and Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen).
The deep integration of DeepSeek AI has significantly improved cloud-based decision-making efficiency and upgraded the vehicle’s perception capabilities with innovative technologies such as multi-modal interaction and emotional mapping engines. Through joint training, IM Motors has developed a multi-scenario AI matrix platform, offering users a smart, personalized, and convenient travel experience.

IM Motors is dedicated to utilizing large model technologies to create a multi-modal AI-powered cockpit, focusing on interactive content generation, environmental perception, and dynamic mobility details in various scenarios.
On the intelligent driving front, IM Motors has introduced the HD map-free NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) technology, now accessible throughout China. The automaker has also initiated a public test for an “end-to-end” large model based on its vehicle models with Level 2++ advanced driver assistance capabilities. Plans are in place to finalize the deployment of the “end-to-end” large model solution, conduct road tests, and demonstrate applications of Level 4 intelligent taxis this year.
As the DeepSeek trend gains momentum in the automotive industry, several automakers like Geely, Dongfeng Motor, Leapmotor, Baojun, and ZEEKR have announced integration with the DeepSeek AI large model. For example, Geely recently integrated its self-developed Xingrui AI model with the DeepSeek R1 model, while ZEEKR revealed the integration of its Kr AI model with the DeepSeek R1 model, introducing the AI-powered smart cockpit assistant, AI EVA.
