IM Motors, the electric vehicle (EV) arm of SAIC Motor Corp, is currently offering enticing incentives for customers looking to purchase an EV before the upcoming Chinese New Year. This move by IM Motors follows a trend in the EV industry where manufacturers are providing attractive financing options and cash discounts to boost sales.

Customers who make a purchase from IM Motors between January 1 and January 28 can benefit from a special five-year, 0 percent interest financing program. This offer allows customers to spread out the cost of their EV purchase over a longer period without incurring any additional interest charges. Additionally, customers who receive delivery of their vehicle before the Chinese New Year holiday can enjoy a RMB 5,000 ($680) discount on their final payment.

The Chinese New Year holiday is set to take place from January 28 to February 4, 2025, giving customers a limited time to take advantage of these exclusive offers. For those who are ready to commit to a purchase, IM Motors is also offering a further discount of up to RMB 20,000 for customers who pay a RMB 5,000 deposit now.

In a recent announcement, IM Motors revealed that its total sales in 2024 reached 65,505 units, marking a significant 71 percent increase from the previous year. However, the company did not disclose sales figures for December, leaving some uncertainty regarding its year-end performance. Previously released figures indicated that IM Motors saw monthly sales of 4,516, 10,001, and 10,007 units in September, October, and November, respectively.

This move by IM Motors to offer attractive incentives to customers reflects the competitive nature of the EV market in China. With increasing demand for electric vehicles and growing competition among manufacturers, these promotional offers are designed to attract customers and drive sales. By providing favorable financing options and cash discounts, IM Motors aims to make EV ownership more accessible and appealing to a wider audience.

Overall, these incentives from IM Motors present a valuable opportunity for customers to purchase an EV with added benefits. As the EV market continues to evolve and expand, manufacturers like IM Motors are adapting their strategies to meet the needs and preferences of consumers. With these exclusive offers available for a limited time, customers can take advantage of favorable financing terms and discounts to make their EV purchase more affordable and rewarding.
