Joyson Electronics Secures Major Zone Controller Supply Deal for Over One Million NEVs

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In a recent announcement, Ningbo Joyson Electronic Corp. (Joyson Electronics) revealed that it has successfully secured its first mass-production order for a zone controller project. The project entails supplying zone controllers for over one million vehicles from a prominent self-owned new energy vehicle (NEV) brand in China, with volume production set to begin in 2025.

Zone controllers play a crucial role in managing various actuators and sensors within specific areas of a vehicle, such as air conditioning, lighting, central locking, airbags, electric seats, and electric windows. They also handle data processing and image transfer, facilitating communication with the central computing unit. This streamlines the electronic and electrical architecture of the vehicle, enhancing computational resource efficiency.
