The Kia EV4 Fastback is making waves as Kia’s first four-door electric car. With a sleek design and impressive range, it’s setting out to compete with the Tesla Model 3.

Starting at £40,895 ($55,000) in the UK, the EV4 Fastback boasts a range of up to 380 miles on a single charge. It comes with an 81.4 kWh battery pack and is only available in the GT-Line and GT-Line S trims. Both variants feature a single front motor with 201 hp and 283 Nm torque, allowing for a 0 to 62 mph sprint in 7.9 seconds.

With a drag coefficient of just 0.23 Cd, the EV4 Fastback is Kia’s most aerodynamic EV yet. This aerodynamic design helps maximize the driving range, making it a practical choice for daily commutes or long road trips.

Inside, the Fastback features Kia’s new connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) with nearly 30″ of screen space. The setup includes dual 12.3″ driver display and infotainment screens, along with an additional 5″ climate control touchscreen. The interior design is sleek and modern, offering a comfortable and connected driving experience.

Kia has already opened orders for the new Fastback variant, with deliveries expected to begin this fall. The base GT-Line starts at £40,895 ($55,000), while the GT-Line S trim is priced from £45,395 ($60,100). In comparison, the Tesla Model 3 RWD starts at £39,990 ($54,600) with a WLTP range of 323 miles.

After becoming the best-selling domestic EV sedan in Korea, the EV4 Fastback is poised to make a splash in overseas markets. Will it be able to compete with the Tesla Model 3? Only time will tell.
