KPIT Technologies, a leading automotive software and mobility engineering firm, recently inaugurated its new software engineering centre in Sfax, Tunisia. This strategic move aims to enhance the company’s delivery capabilities and drive innovation within the mobility ecosystem.

The opening ceremony of the new centre was attended by senior leaders from the Tunisian automotive sector, investment authorities, universities, and KPIT’s leadership team. During the event, KPIT Technologies’ CTO Anup Sable emphasized the importance of the new centre in driving innovation in propulsion software, vehicle network development, validation, and expanding into other domains. The centre is expected to serve as a hub for excellence and strategic delivery for European OEMs, providing location and timezone advantages for increased agility and scalability.

The establishment of this new centre not only benefits the local talent pool but also enhances opportunities for the over 500 KPIT employees already based in Tunisia. This initiative will enable closer collaboration with OEMs and further solidify KPIT’s position as a strategic partner to European mobility OEMs, supporting companies across Germany, the UK, France, Italy, and beyond.

With a global delivery network that includes locations in the US, Germany, France, Japan, China, Thailand, and India, the addition of the Tunisia centre strengthens KPIT’s presence and capabilities in key markets. The President of the Tunisia Investment Authority, Namia Ayadi, highlighted the country’s appeal as a hub for innovation and high-tech expertise, showcasing the vibrant investment ecosystem and forward-looking reforms that support projects like KPIT’s new centre.

In addition to the centre in Tunisia, KPIT Technologies recently established a technology centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a focus on driving innovation in the mobility sector. These strategic investments demonstrate KPIT’s commitment to advancing technology and innovation in the automotive industry, while also contributing to the growth of high-skilled employment and knowledge transfer in the regions where they operate.
