Limited-Edition Lanzante 95-59: A Tribute to the McLaren F1

Performance specialist Lanzante has recently unveiled its latest creation, the 95-59, a three-seat supercar that pays homage to the iconic McLaren F1. With an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 700bhp per tonne, this limited-run model is sure to turn heads.

The inspiration behind the 95-59 comes from the #59 McLaren F1 GTR that secured victory at the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours. Boasting a mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 850bhp and 649lb ft of torque, this supercar is a force to be reckoned with.

Constructed on McLaren’s Monocage carbonfibre chassis, similar to the P1, 720S, and Senna models, the 95-59 has been customized by Lanzante to accommodate three seats. Weighing in at just 1250kg, thanks to carbon body panels and optional weight-saving features like forged aluminum wheels and titanium tailpipes, this supercar offers a power-to-weight ratio that surpasses even the original McLaren F1.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a seven-speed sequential gearbox, while an active rear wing ensures stability at high speeds and through corners. Although exact technical specifications have yet to be released, the 95-59 is expected to accelerate from 0-62mph in approximately 2.5 seconds.

Designed by former McLaren designer Paul Howse, known for his work on models like the P1 and 720S, the 95-59 showcases McLaren-inspired design elements, particularly evident in the rear aesthetics. This supercar is set to make its debut at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, capturing the attention of automotive enthusiasts worldwide.
