Leapmotor has recently unveiled its latest SUV model, the B10, as part of its efforts to expand its product lineup. This compact SUV, which is the first globalized model on Leapmotor’s new B platform, made its debut at the Paris auto show.
The B10 is designed to cater to the needs of young people worldwide, with a focus on delivering smart new energy vehicle (NEV) products. Priced between RMB 100,000 ($14,110) and RMB 150,000, the B10 is set to hit the global market next year.
According to Leapmotor’s founder, chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming, the B-series will also introduce two other global models in the coming year. The B10, comparable in size to a BMW X1, will compete with models like the Aito M5 and Nio Onvo L60.
Established in 2015, Leapmotor is among the pioneering forces in China’s new car manufacturing industry. The company has been making strides in expanding its presence overseas through a partnership with Stellantis, Europe’s second-largest carmaker by sales.
Leapmotor’s current product lineup in China includes the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16, with most models available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. In September, Leapmotor’s joint venture with Stellantis, Leapmotor International, launched the C10 and T03 in 13 European countries.
By leveraging Stellantis’ distribution network, Leapmotor International aims to increase its global sales outlets to 350 by the end of 2024, with over 200 outlets planned for Europe. The company has been experiencing significant growth in vehicle deliveries, with a record-breaking 33,767 units delivered in September, marking the fourth consecutive month of surpassing 30,000 units.
With a promising outlook for its global expansion and innovative product offerings, Leapmotor continues to solidify its position in the competitive NEV market. The introduction of the B10 and other upcoming models signifies the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, smart mobility solutions to consumers worldwide.
