Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has recently unveiled updated versions of two of its popular models, the Li L6 SUV and the Li Mega MPV, at the 2025 Shanghai auto show. These new versions come with improved features and technologies, while maintaining the same starting prices as their predecessors.

The updated Li L6 is now available in Pro and Max options, with pre-sales starting at RMB 249,800 ($34,240) and RMB 279,800 respectively. One of the key upgrades in the new Li L6 is the inclusion of LiDAR as a standard feature, a significant improvement over the previous model which only had this component in the higher-priced Max version. Additionally, the Pro variant is equipped with Horizon Robotics’ Journey 6M smart driving chip, while the Max variant boasts the powerful Nvidia Thor-U chip. Pre-orders for the updated Li L6 have already begun, with firm orders set to start on May 8.

As for the Li Mega MPV, the updated version comes in two editions – the Li Mega Ultra, priced at RMB 529,800, and a special edition called the Li Mega Home, starting at RMB 559,800. The Li Mega Home features rotatable zero-gravity seats in the second row and silent electric doors for the first row. Owners of the 2024 Li Mega Ultra will also have the option to upgrade to the same seats as the Li Mega Home through a paid upgrade solution. Firm orders for the updated Li Mega have already started, with deliveries expected to begin in May.

The Li Mega, Li Auto’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, was initially launched on March 1, 2024, at a starting price of RMB 559,800. However, due to performance issues, the price was later reduced by RMB 30,000 to RMB 529,800. Despite these challenges, the Li Mega managed to achieve a total of 10,798 deliveries in 2024, contributing 2.16 percent of Li Auto’s annual deliveries.
