The Lotus Emira Clark Edition: A Tribute to Racing Legend Jim Clark

The Lotus Emira Clark Edition has been unveiled as a special tribute to the iconic racing driver Jim Clark. This limited edition model is based on the range-topping Emira V6 and pays homage to Clark’s legendary 1965 season, during which he clinched the Formula 1 World Championship and the Indy 500.

One of the standout features of the Clark Edition is its striking ‘Clark Racing Green’ and yellow-striped livery, reminiscent of the colors used on Clark’s race cars. The exhaust pipes are also painted in the same yellow hue, a nod to the design of the Lotus 38 that propelled him to victory at Indianapolis.

Stepping inside the Clark Edition Emira, you’ll find a luxurious two-tone black and bright-red upholstery, with the red shade exclusively applied to the driver’s side. This design element is inspired by the interiors of Lotus’s historic race cars. A special touch is the inclusion of a piece of the Clark family tartan, housed in a commemorative plaque on the seat’s headrest.

Furthermore, the metal gearknob has been replaced with a wooden one, adding a touch of elegance to the cabin. The carbonfibre sill treadplates not only add a sporty flair but also signify the car’s place in the production run of 60 Clark Editions, marking 60 years since Clark’s triumphant 1965 season.

Under the hood, the Clark Edition retains the 3.5-litre supercharged engine found in the regular Emira V6, delivering 399bhp to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Additionally, the special edition comes equipped with the Lotus Driver’s Pack, offering features like firmer sports suspension, switchable exhaust, and a Track driving mode.
